Batenjam Gold Mining Camp, Liberia

This scene was used in "Liberian Gold" when my main characters, Nick and Abby, visited Batenjam mining camp and village. A pivotal moment in the story.

In real life, I stayed in the village for several days in December, 2008 and secured a verbal agreement with the Camp Master to buy alluvial gold from the camp. Batenjam was twelve hours into the jungle from the capitol city of Monrovia, Liberia.
